Hobler Figuren

Hobler

The workshop Hobler from Grünhainichen in the Ore Mountains is a fine example of a manufacturer of Ore Mountains folk art, which looks back on a long history and yet is always evolving and enriching the world of wood art with its new fresh ideas. Cute snowmen with carrot nose as well as the rabbit couple "Emma and Max" or the angels "Hans and Lotte" in different life situations are among the successful design creations of the creative manufacturer. The Hobler angels can look forward to company, because the daring little devil "Gustav" has joined the assortment.

Figures with heart from Grünhainichen.

The beginnings of the Hobler figurines company can be traced back three generations, when Willi Tennstedt handcrafted beautiful toys for children from wood. His son Gerhard and his wife Ellen continued the tradition and created a variety of children's toys and handicrafts. Today, their grandson Dirk Hobler and his wife Romy Hobler-Kirsch create their modern wooden figures under the name "Hobler - Figuren mit Herz aus Grünhainichen". The old art of woodturning still underlies the original miniatures, but stylistically the Hoblers break new ground with their refreshing designs. The clever shaping of the wooden figures creates a special dynamic, which contributes a lot to their smart and cheerful effect.

Hobler Angels and Devils

Grünhainichen, where the Hoblers' workshop is located, has a long tradition of arts and crafts and as the "village of angels" has a special significance for Ore Mountains folk art. Hobler takes up this tradition, but adds a novelty to the variety of Ore Mountains angels: for the first time, the cute little messengers of heaven also have male colleagues: "Angel Hans" has all kinds of modern hobbies such as photography or playing soccer. Not only beautiful, but also practical is the product "Angel Hans with note holder" in this series - a pretty decoration and office supplies see themselves united here. In addition to angels, the Hoblers design other motifs, which they implement in original figure series. A tongue-in-cheek addition to the droll Hobler angels is the cheeky little devil Gustav, which is also available in various designs. With his black glasses, red horns and an electric guitar in his hand, Hobler Devil Gustav looks like hell.

Hobler Snowmen

Two funny fellows are the snowmen Fritz and Otto designed by Hobler with their orange carrot noses, colored scarf and gray top hats. Sometimes Fritz is quite sporty with an ice hockey stick and skis or competes in the winter snowman biathlon. At other times, he gazes pensively through the area with a large snowflake in his hands, or he stands somewhat confused with his small suitcase in front of a signpost pointing in the direction of the "North Pole", "South Pole" and the "Ore Mountains". Which way will he choose and which of the playful, wintry Hobler figures will you choose for your home? The cheerful Hobler snowmen delight not only collectors, but also the Association of Ore Mountains Craftsmen, which awarded the series with the prestigious prize for "Tradition and Form".

Hobler Rabbits

The cute rabbits Emma and Max like to get up to mischief at any time of the year. The childlike looking rabbit figures are always on the ball in any life situation and in various activities and warm the heart of every observer with their friendly charisma: At the first day of school with a sugar cone in hand, on the swing, Emma riding a scooter, Max fishing for carrots and the two of them completely in love with a red heart. Sporting enthusiasm is not neglected with Emma and Max, as the two Hobler rabbits can also be seen playing soccer, on the golf course and on roller skates. While Max is always in green and wearing a yellow bow tie, Emma wears orange and a cute bow between her spoon ears.
