Since September 2011 the Erzgebirge-palace is proud to offer you the Christmas Pyramids and Candle arches made by the traditional workshop “Holger Seidel”. This manufacturer is situated in Schönheide, one of the largest rural communities in the western Erzgebirge, surrounded by the nature park Erzgebirge/Vogtland (1495 km²). This region is not only acknowledged for it’s beautiful landscape, deep forests, hills and valleys, but also for his long tradition in Erzgebirge folk art. By the way, a classical Smoker motif, the “brush man”, is supposed to have been invented in Schönheide.
The workshop Holger Seidel designs Erzgebirge Pyramids, Candle arches and Window images of the highest quality, everything very skillfully handmade. This workshop has created several models of beautiful Christmas pyramids, from 1-tier up to 4-tier Pyramids. Here we want to introduce a very special piece to you:
4-tier Christmas pyramid “Gothic”, 135 cm / 53 inches
This artistically designed pyramid made by Holger Seidel is only manufactured in small quantities and is “the” special gift for Christmas, which will surely last for generations. The Seidel Christmas pyramids are characterized by careful workmanship and beautiful large figures. This fine piece, which is 135 cm (53 inches) high, is not only impressive because of its size, but also due to its beautiful ornaments in gothic style. You can order this Erzgebirge pyramid according to your wishes: The version you see in the picture has 12 electric candles that are operated with 230V/3W. An electric motor assures the perfect rotation of the fan and the four tiers of the pyramid. If you prefer the more traditional style, you can also order the pyramid with wax candles, which move the fan on top by their heat. You can also get the pyramid either with or without a figurine set. The photograph shows the pyramid, provided with a 16-piece decoration, illustrating a nativity scene, including Jesus, Mary and Joseph (the baby Jesus lies in a hand-carved cradle), ox and donkey, and the three wise men. Some angels, sheep and a palm tree complete the beautifully styled ensemble. The figures have been painted with smooth, warm colours, in perfect harmony with the natural wood tones of the pyramid.
