The workshops of Günter Reichel are located in the idyllic village of Pobershau, about 25 km from Seiffen.

Günter Reichel, originally worked as an engineer at a toy factory, but always dreamed about realizing his own ideas, in his own workshop. With great respect for the traditions of his home region and with a whole lot of creativity, he dared to start his own business in 1989. A good and fruitful decision! Success and product range grew fast, and very soon new employees extended the team. Only a few years later the company moved to larger premises.

Miniature figures, atmospheric and richly detailed scenes of rural life in the Ore Mountains, and interpretations of the traditional topic Engel & Bergmann formed part of the original range and created the special style of the figures made by Reichel.

In 1997, the famous SCHUTZENGEL® series (“Guardian Angels”) was created in collaboration with the toy designer Andreas Fleischer. This very successful series was continuously extended throughout the years and can be described as the hallmark of Günter Reichel's workshop.

A unique, poetic design and lovely details make the Reichel “Guardian Angels” irresistibly cute and unmistakable. Furthermore, the wide range of motives assures that you will find a matching “Guardian Angel” for almost any occasion in life. The other series of the manufactory Reichel are not less charming. The little bunny figures or the Glücksbärchen, “little lucky bears”, the big band angels and of course various christmas characters invite you to make small miniature sceneries on matching platforms and enlarge the lovely assortment piece by piece.

On several occasions, the manufactory Günter Reichel won the regional Design Award “Tradition and Form” for their unique products. Browse through our little Reichel universe and you will surely be enchanted.
