The wonderfully decorated Advent candle holders by Albin Preißler are known all over the world. The time of waiting and light is expressed in the most beautiful way with miniatures and motifs on Preißler's Advent candle holders. The traditional lighting of candles on Advent Sunday is even more joyful with this sight! Christmas tree decorations, candle arches and pyramids are also part of the range of the Ore Mountains manufacturer from Seiffen.
Seiffener arts and crafts Albin Preißler
The family business Seiffener Kunsthandwerk Albin Preißler is the oldest manufacturer of Advent candle holders in the toy village of Seiffen in the Ore Mountains. Since 1919, the Preißlers' workshop has been producing the beautiful candle holders. Hugo Albin Preißler was already a turner and foreman in the light factory Zimmermann & Co. in the first years of the 20th century and became independent after the First World War. His son Albin Rudolf Preißler passed the master turner's examination in 1949, took over the business in 1953 and expanded the range to include the popular Christmas articles. Today, his daughter Steffi and her husband Hartmut Bauer run the workshop, which maintains the traditional Ore Mountains folk and wood art at a high level with real handwork.
Advent candle holders
Made of regional ash, beech, maple and elm wood, the four-flame candle holders of the company Albin Preißler are a beautiful addition or alternative to the Advent wreath, but also generally a light and warmth radiating room decoration in the dark season. They are available in different colors - natural colors for comfort, white for peace, green for goodness and red for love. Four curved arms reach out from a sturdy base in all directions and support the four candles on flat plates, as in the Preißler Advent Candle holder with Poinsettia, or in finely turned tall goblets, as in the Preißler Advent Candle holder with Chip Tree. The white Preißler Advent candle holder can be equipped with tea lights. Cheerful angels decorate the red Preißler Advent candle holder and the white and blue Preißler Advent candle holder with the beautiful golden star in the center.
Sustainably grown material, bright colors and fine, golden details, as well as the artful processing combine in Preißler's products to real Ore Mountains art of high quality. In addition, we recommend for smooth operation the high-quality candles and quality tea lights from the house JEKA.
Christmas tree decorations
Another speciality is the Christmas tree ornament in star shape, which has been 100% handmade in the house of Albin Preißler for about 100 years and then painted in brilliant colors. The 14 pointed stars made of solid beech wood are 7x7x7 cm and can be attached to the tree with a silver thread. Available in natural or classic Christmas colors such as gold, silver, red and white glossy lacquer, they will add beautiful, light and festive accents to your Christmas tree.
Christmas candle arch and Christmas pyramid.
Albin Preißler depicts the Christmas story "Nativity" in an electric candle arch as well as on an all-natural 4-story pyramid. The animals on Preißler's Christmas decorations are made with the worldwide unique handicraft technique of hoop turning. Highest craftsmanship and spatial thinking skills are required to turn out the shape of a tire so precisely formed that later animals and other figures can be cut from it.
The Preißler Schwibbogen with Nativity Scene made of solid wood in the format 60×35 is mainly in natural wood colors. Small color accents are set by the crowns of the Magi and the lantern of Joseph. Preißler's filigree, hand-carved figures fill the arch as kings, shepherds, animals and Holy Family. The Star of Bethlehem high above the scene, as well as the Nativity scene at ground level, feature interior lighting.
The 4-story Pyramid of the Nativity is all natural color. Each of the four tiers features turned and carved wooden figure groups. The base frame retains its natural grain, giving the pyramid a natural as well as individual look. In the pyramids manufactured by Albin Preißler, special emphasis is also placed on ease of movement.
