The story of Köhler Kunsthandwerk began in 1989 when the skilled turner Björn Köhler started the company as a one-man-project. During this time the modern nativity scene was created, that already featured the distinctive Köhler style. It still is part of the assortment and is available in various versions. By the year 2014 the unique nativity scene has become so famous, that the manufactory Köhler was honored with the order for a life-size version for the Striezelmarkt in Dresden. Furthermore the company’s individual style shows in their whole collection. An inventive extension of the Christmassy assortment is the range of Santa Claus figurines that come in several witty varieties.
