The family business “Seiffener Kunsthandwerk Albin Preißler” is the oldest manufacturer of Advent chandeliers in the toy village Seiffen in the Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains). Since 1919 the company has been producing beautiful handcrafted objects. Hugo Albin Preißler was a wood turner and master craftsman in the lamp factory Zimmermann & Co, in the first years of the 20th century. After the First World War he founded his own business. His son Albin Rudolf Preißler passed the master woodturner examination in 1949, took over the company in 1953 and expanded the range to include the popular Christmas articles. Today his daughter Steffi and her husband Hartmut Bauer run the workshop which cultivates the traditional Erzgebirge folk and wood art at a high level.

Another special feature that Albin Preissler has been manufacturing for around 100 years now are the Christmas tree ornaments. The beautiful Christmas stars are still 100% handmade by and then painted in brilliant colours. The 14 jagged stars made of solid beech wood measure 2.8x2.8x2.8 inches and can be attached to the tree with a silver thread.
