The workshop of Harald Kreißl, situated in Marienberg, is a small company that produces elaborate fretwork and has specialized in fabricating beautiful little hanging pyramids or miniature candle arches. Not just the big, beautiful Christmas pyramids and candle arches have a long tradition in the Ore Mountains.

"Small-smaller-smallest" is a motto of several Erzgebirge workshops as well. Sometimes it’s even a kind of competition: Just think of the tiny little woodchip trees, smaller than a little finger, or nut shells, in which you can find a complete nativity scene!
