Nutcracker description by Mr. Steinbach:
One of the most popular beverages in Germany is without doubt beer, which developed from the mead of the ancient Teutonic peoples. Here in our area of North German is the city of Einbeck. The brewmasters of Einbeck brought their beer to Munich and now Bavarian beer is famous throughout the world. On the occasion of Martin Luther's marriage to Katharina von Bora, the city of Einbeck donated a keg of beer. The purity law for German beer was already established in 1516 by Duke Wilhelm V. From that time on, German beer had to be brewed with nothing else besides malt, hops, yeast and water, no added flavoring ingredients, no artificial coloring and no preservatives. German beer is an organic beverage, and we love it fresh from the barrel. We cherish its clear, yellow amber color. But it's only really good when it's constantly flowing from the tap, because then it tastes delicious and is well balanced. Unfortunately, we have to pasteurize the beer for export purposes so that it will hold longer. Our breweries do their best in this regard. But export beer is, of course, still not the real thing, and that's why we would like to invite you to come to Germany and try genuine German beer right from the barrel.
