The company RATAGS was founded 1987 (still in GDR times), in the idyllic village Stolpen near Dresden, and has since developed magnificently. The company's headquarter, a beautiful traditional country estate with three buildings placed around a big inner courtyard, was in ruins in the early years. Thanks to the great courage, enthusiasm and hard work of the owners, the company RATAGS has advanced from two-man company to the employer of 150 people in the rural Ore Mountain region.

RATAGS became famous with the “Double Candle Arch”, which today is still the most important product from RATAGS and has received numerous national awards. Ingenuity and high quality are characteristic for every item of RATAGS wood design. "Arts and crafts united in perfection", this term is the slogan of Gitta Heider, the general manager, and may as well serve as the corporate philosophy. We are proud to offer a fine selection of RATAGS candle arches that illustrate typical regional scenes or workshops with multiple fretsaw trees and elements that give it a 3D view. Different colors makes those arches arch even more diversified and create a realistic scenery.

RATAGS is constantly inventing new themes to be illustrated on a candle arch, we are excited to see which motifs will be coming next!
